SAN ANGELES, EARTH – Members of the budget and finance committee of the Consortium Council may soon propose cuts to Martian terraforming research funds.
According to a memo leaked to the Consortium Broadcasting Network, the committee wants the full board to consider slashing the $100.6-million credit Martian research budget by no less than 30 percent.
It’s identified as “a cost-saving measure” and “a reallocation of Consortium assets to projects that benefit more than just a single world,” the memo states.
