Alopex Observatory

Summary: Peeking at scuffs on the boss'es ride.

Cast: Eelim, Ikin, Ector, Luftlowe, Rukais

Air Date: Saturday 30 July - 2653 AD

Setting: Observatory <MCV Alopex>

Shaped like a long, bullet-shaped bubble of plasteel housed just in front of and below the main weapon, the observatory gives the most unobstructed view of space in the entire ship. Bolted-down Pyracan native potted plants line winding walkways, and benches allow for quiet reflection. Two pivotable telescopes allow for stargazing, and a small pond holds a few fish. As a nod to practicality, however, curved ceramet blast doors can be seen at the edges of the plasteel and at one side of the pond, made to quickly slam shut during battle. An airlock-style door leads back towards the corridor.

"I spotted it on an outside run earlier." Rukais nods, "If it's possible something slipped through the net and did some damage, it should be checked." The pilot is in a flightsuit and stands next to the the window with a pair of binoculars. He is currently giving Luftlowe a flat expression.

Ector slips in and slips up behind the group and tries to see what they're looking at unaided. He bobbles back and forth a bit then asks, "Some garbage hit us? We need someone to go zero-gee to scrape gremlin guts off the hull?"

"Ah! Herr Saerin. Your timing is perfect." Luftlowe declares, brightening at the sight of the falari. "Liason with the Reub here, you like EVA, right?" To Eelim, the Waldheimer offers a dry smile. "You don't want to know.. Actually, I suspect you would find it hillarious, so all the more reason not to go into it."

"Hrm? I can't say I've spent too much time in EVA..." Ikin replies, scratching his head with the wrench. "What am I doing, then?" the bird tilts his head from side to side and stretches his wings a bit.

Eelim gains an amused chuckle from Ector's antics, gold and green hues shooting from one person to another. Notably, one of his arms are bandaged, and like normal, he's shirtless. He raises a hand to slap/bump against Ikin's wing. "What up, nerdbird." His grin rises as he hears the Waldheimer, "Ight, well shit now I -gotta- hear this. C'mon now."

"I'm sure you'd love it. It's like flying, only nothing like it." Rukais comments across to Ikin with a sidelong smirk, "There's just some marking on the side of the shaft up there, I spotted it when I launched earlier - wanted to highlight it. Get someone out there to assess it, at least." He offers the binoculars over, should they be required.

"Toss me a report once you've had a look, Herr Saerin." Elfriede comments, standing and tucking her PDA under one arm. She half-smiles at Eelim, adding, "I will tell you some other time in private. Pardon me, I've a meeting to be getting to."

Ector declares, "I'm just Ooh-Kay in :declares, "I'm just Ooh-Kay in Zero-Gee ... It's not my most comfortable evironment. I'm told I move around like a scared super-conductor ... I have a natural cat-like agility. I personally just don't like the breathing equipment.

Ikin scratches his head further and says, "Hrm? Oh, alright." as he takes the binoculars and takes a look out the window, checking for the damage. "Oh... I see it... Yeah... I'll... I'll uh... Take a look at that." the bird's wings fold back as he says, "I've only been in EVA once..."

Eelim scratches the back of his head, raising a brow as he listens to the conversation. "Could take the shuttle up there."

"Then don't go out," Rukais replies to Ikin flatly, "You've had the training, you're capable of making the call on your own." He holds out his hand for the binoculars again.
