A race of giant slug-like creatures covered in slime and bugs, with tentacles where their mouths should be. During their encounters with denizens of Sanctuary on the voyage through [[Hiverspace]], it was learned that the Thul required certain glandular material from young humans in order to procreate. Before the voyage ended, stymied in their attempts to successfully capture kids for harvesting, the Thul settled on accepting a pair of adult criminals - Lord Fagin the Pirate King and former Vanguard General Dimitri Volstov - for their purposes. In exchange, the Thul helped Sanctuary make the return trip to [[Normalspace]].
