Saga Points are an out-of-character currency, displayed on a character's +sheet, that are used for:
- Raising your skills
- Boosting your skill cap
- Crafting action cards, minions, weapons, armor, gadgets, starship prototypes, paying gigs, and even planets, empires, and universes.
Saga Points, or SP, can be acquired in several ways:
- Getting an initial payout of 200+ SP upon approval of character biography
- Cashing in payout vouchers by using the +craft crowd option in a room with four (4) Spacer Stones and a Social Node
- Participating in occasional contests for SP prizes
- Earning badges in the OtherSpace Achievement System that are worth a monthly SP payout amount
- Contributing as an OtherSpace sponsor, which yields a minimum of 100 SP for every $1 contributed
