Who He Is
Quintessential Description
Standing in at six feet and three inches tall, this Pyracan can look physically imposing, but despite the obvious muscle visible through his charcoal fur, his overall build is rather lean, suggesting he focuses more on speed and agility rather than strength. He looks to weigh about two hundred and fifteen pounds or so, though it can be difficult to tell considering his athletic build. He has stark yellow eyes that radiate confidence, though can be a little threatening with the aid of the scar above his right eye, an angry reminder of a battle long past, not to mention his sharp claws on his hands and feet and those teeth of his.
In terms of attire, he seems to fall back on the traditional attire of the Pyracans. His upper half is completely bare. In fact, his only attire is on his lower half, a red loincloth that hangs to his knees either side of his waist, held up by a thin braided belt. He has attached some pouch-like pockets and a pistol holster to the belt, to allow him to carry things he really needs, but otherwise is bare, not even going for decoration.
Biography
History
Born on 12th July 2630, Basch was raised by a pretty average Pyracani family. Despite being the youngest of two brothers, he didn't feel overshadowed by them, instead looking up to them as pseudo-idols, especially when the two joined the Pyracan military. Basch was enthralled of their stories of the wider galaxy beyond the Cyon System. Eventually, he began to foster a desire to join the military as well, a career path encouraged by his parents and brothers. As soon as he was old enough, he applied to join the military itself. He took to his training like a duck to water, putting the tricks he learned from his old hunting hobby to practice with his rifle, becoming rather skilled as a sniper. Even his survival training would benefit from his hobby, making him adept at solo missions.
That said, being a lone wolf wasn't something he enjoyed. He preferred to work as a small pack, and would work better with packmates at his side, turning the already lethal Pyracani into a well-oiled machine. Even despite his skill in ground warfare, he did manage to pick up a few tricks for space battles, though nowhere near to the level of his other abilities. Only one thing dampened his enthusiasm. In 2648, Basch and both of his brothers were present in the Battle of Glornish Stationthough his brothers were in a different pack. He was injured during the assault, giving him the scar on his face, though his brothers weren't as lucky. The Thul had managed to ambush their pack and wiped them out to the last man. Rather than feel vengeful, Basch took comfort in the fact that they were now with the Supreme One, however the loss still had an adverse effect on his morale.
As the months after the assault passed, it was obvious that he was still upset by the passing of his brothers, even despite his attempts to not let it interfere with his combat readiness. Rather than let it drag him down, his packmates tried to help him through the slump, managing to clear his heart of doubts and strengthen his resolve together. Spurred on by the bonds his packmates showed him, Basch pushed himself onwards, to show to his superiors that he was able to work over any adversity. And prove it he did, though he continually refused any rank above Ridirr. He instead viewed himself as a follower and not a leader. He served the remainder of his six year tour at this rank, continually improving as much as he could until he left. He always considered returning, but decided instead to work on his own merits with a more freelance group instead, curious as to how the less militarized work in the galaxy.
Goals
Basch's goals are to see how non-military organizations and freelance mercenaries work compared to the Pyracani Military, as well as further improving his skills, strengthening that he already knows as well as broadening his skillset. Whether or not he plans to return to the military is yet to be seen.
