Overview
Castori are bear-like psionic beings, native to the giant trees of their heavily-forested world Castor. They are known for their pacifism and generally easygoing natures as well as strong interest in technological innovation.
Physical Data
Castori largely resemble living teddy bears, they are bipedal and have opposing digits.
Castori must hibernate three months out of the year.
Once unable to travel on FTL ships due to their sensitive neural makeup, Castori are adorned at an early age with an Akripan crown that fuses with their skull and grows with them. This device makes it possible for them to travel on FTL vessels without trouble.
Culture
They are fond of sweets, as well as the thrill of the hunt. Castori inventors have been known to throw caution to the wind in the excitement of pursuing a new technology.
Religious Castori generally hold to a loose tradition that describes the universe as the product of the Great Dreamer's sleeping mind. One major holiday is the Festival of the Continuing Dream
History
Castori originated on the planet Akripa and migrated to their current homeworld many thousands of years ago. Castori traders have traditionally been much better received by the people of the Sol system than most other alien races.
