Facility denies dark matter leak

KJERNKOR, HEKAYT PRIME - Authorities overseeing the dark matter gathering facility deep below the surface of Hekayt Prime are denying rumors that the dangerous, matter-destabilizing substance has begun leaking from faulty seams in the containment cell."Thus far, we have no evidence to suggest that anything of the kind has occurred," asserted a general news release from the facility management. However, some relatives of workers say that the facility is under lockdown mode.

KJERNKOR, HEKAYT PRIME - Investigators representing the Grand Moot on Hekayt Prime announced today that, despite denials to the contrary, sensors detect "dangerous levels" of dark matter leakage from a facility far beneath the planet's surface.Communication with the matter-gathering lab has been intermittent since the recent report about entering lockdown mode. Word from the lab in the most recent communique: "The situation in the facility is manageable." Scientists are said to be attempting to create what's known as a "quantum muzzle" to seal the breach in the containment chamber.

Hekayti Official: 'A Volatile Time On the Frontier'

Posted By: Taeren Article: JUN10-3 Reported To: CNB Reported On: Hekayt Reported At: Fri Jun 11 20:41:11 3010

HEKAYT (CNB) -- Outcastes on the fringes of Hekayti space have been locked in an increasingly bloody scuffle, a Hekayti military official revealed today in an exclusive to CNB.This explains the recent advisories by the Ledelkrig -- the Hekayti military caste -- against travel to worlds on the rimward fringes of Hekayti space and warnings against non-essential space traffic among the worlds and outposts forming the rimward fringe of Hekayti, B'Hiri and Falari space, the official said. A Ledelkrig spokesman declined to comment on the record.Travel warnings due to conflict are more expensive than other types of hazards due to their unpredictability. Resulting increases in underwriting and insurance costs are likely to raise the price of luxury goods and travel in that frontier area for an unknown period of time. The Hekayti outcaste, the Verdikke, comprises diverse groups -- from indigent beggars on Hekayt Prime to the much-feared Medlidikke pirate bands that plague the trade lanes within and outside of Hekayti space. Hekayt Prime tends to prefer not to acknowledge the existence of the outcastes unless absolutely necessary."Outverser settlers have been pushing outwards to frontiers previously occupied only by the Medlidikke and those too desperate not to risk encounters with them," said the Ledelkrig official, speaking anonymously because the official was not authorized to speak to reporters. "We fully expected the Medlidikke to feast on their flesh like prowling beasts on young cattle. But intelligence suggests there is a new source of arms and munitions is supplying some of the lower-order outcast factions, and Outverser groups are putting pressure on the weaker bands of pirates and space predators -- Medlidikke notwithstanding -- to secure share in the trade markets that natives here had no need to risk taking themselves."The result is increased violence all around. This is a very volatile time to be on the frontier," the official continued. "Things are worse than the government is letting on, and intelligence suggests they will come to a head very soon. People need to know and be careful."

BREAKING: Ledelkrig On High Alert

Posted By: Taeren Article: JUN10-4 Reported To: FLN Reported On: Hekayt Reported At: Wed Jun 16 18:56:17 3010

HEKAYT PRIME (FLN) -- Ledelkrig forces are on high alert after a Verdikke faction contacted officials on Hekayt Prime to inform them that they intended to deliver a high-level Medlidikke commander as a prisoner. FLN is unable at this time to identify the Medlidikke.Eyewitness holovideo from the Griltor, a mining vessel that harvests planetoids rich in polydenum and other fuel on the farthest edges of Hekayti-claimed space, show a Medlidikke raiding party assault, disable and board the vessel. While the Medlidikke were attempting to take control of the ship, members of the Verdikke faction, calling itself the Torgverdikke, arrived and boarded the Medlidikke ship.FLN obtained and reviewed holo footage showing the Torgverdikke and Medlidikke ships spinning away from the Griltor as they traded boarding parties. Still docked together, both ships entered faster-than-light travel. Before entering faster-than-light, the Torgverdikke indicated their intent to deliver the Medlidikke to Comorro Station. It is expected that the vessels are due to arrive at Comorro's present location -- not far from Hekayt Prime -- very soon. The Verdikke are the Hekayti's outcastes, and comprise various factions that operate wholly outside Hekayti society. The Hekayti prefer to ignore Verdikke, whether they are beggars or the feared Medlidikke pirate bands, unless forced to acknowledge their existence.

COMORRO - Ungstiri miners and prospectors from Comorro and the surrounding area met Wednesday with trade executive Vadim Tostanavich, Trade Defense Fleet leader Razorback Cliffwalker, and Phyrrian Overmind 'Dean'.The subject of the meeting was unknown until it took place, however, as it progressed, it was revealed that Mr. Tostanavich was asking for them to join in a colonization effort. The destination of this effort is, at this time, unknown, as none of the meeting's participants offered comment. There also seemed to be some question of Phyrrian involvement, Mr. Cliffwalker asking the Ungstiri to accept their help. This did not sit well with the participants, but a settlement was reached that all parties seemed satisfied.

COMORRO (CNB) -- In an unexpected turn of events, a colony ship escorted by a task force of a scoutship and two cruisers -- all of these ships of distinct, never-before-seen make -- have just arrived at Comorro Station. The colony ship has docked.Upon arrival, the cruisers identified themselves as the THS Liberty Bell and the THS Vanguard Spirit.A man identifying himself as Josh MacNamara, the renegade industrialist, claimed ownership of both vessels and the colony ship."Some friends found a planet," said MacNamara, speaking to CNB from the bridge of the lead cruiser, THS Liberty Bell, by holoviewer. "We think it'd be a nice place for Outversers to live free and make their own home. Interstellar space being what it is, I'm loaning them some hardware to see to it that the whole thing happens smoothly. We thank the interstellar community for their support and cooperation and assure them we'll be telling them more real soon."CNB stringers aboard Comorro report a primarily Ungstiri group of Outversers is beginning to embark on the colony vessel.More as it develops. -- Grizmak Frizkazazz, CNB

SVAJONE - In a morning press conference, Svajone spokeswoman Natalie Lant said the Svajone was seeking "a dissemination of all data from the Ainda to the international intelligence apparatuses of Hiverspace," including the Svajone, in an attempt to determine the fate of Hideg Fekretu."We do not wish to see what could be a golden opportunity wasted by petty politics and rivalries," Lant said.

Ainda Information to be Considered

Posted By: Coyote Article: JUN10-9 Reported To: CNB Reported On: Comorro Reported At: Thu Jun 24 20:30:59 3010

COMORRO - While curiosity and concern over the sudden reappearance of the Ainda has steadily built over the past few days, any information available has been conspiciously absent. TDF leader Razorback Cliffwalker recently spoke out on the issue, calling for leaders to meet him Thursday night to discuss the matter. "I and sseverrral otherrrs werrre on the Ainda when it firrrsst arrrrrrived," he says, "To sspeak to the concerns rrrescently exsprrressssed by Ssvajone, the Zarrr's wherrreaboutss arrre sstill a myssterrry, but therrre arrre issssues that we would like to disscussss with them, jusst as we would with otherrr leaderrrs in the rrregion. I would also rrrequesst that anyone who was aboard the Ainda to be prrresent as well. We all have a vessted interrresst in how thiss inforrrmation is ssharrred."

TDF Holding Interdimensional Travel Secrets

Svajone - With the recent request for a meeting by the Trade Defense Force, the Svajone has sent out media spokespeople to several news outlets continuing to insist the information from the Ainda be released, which is now not only believed to potentially contain useful information in finding Hideg Fekretu, but a valuable new form of travel as well."We understand this travel to be interdimensional, which means its applications could allow Outversers the real possibility to return home." Nathan Pela said to CNB in a live interview this morning. "We can not understand why this group would deny that possibility after everything many of these Outversers have been through."To Svajone centric media, another Svajone spokesperson, Natalie Lant, said, "The TDF is attempting to control this technology for their own gain, claiming it is dangerous without allowing Svajone engineers to examine it. Every day this technology and all information from the Ainda is not released is another day that Hideg Fekretu is unable to be tracked, and another day that Outversers can not have the option to attempt to return home."

Interdimensional Drive Possibilities Revealed

COMORRO - In a recent meeting aboard Comorro Station, Razorback Cliffwalker of the Trade Defense Fleet publicly revealed the contents of the Ainda computer database, and took suggestions as to the dissemination of that information."Onboarrrd werrre the designs forrr an interrrdimensional drrrive, as well as a worrrking prrrototype..." the Cliffwalker said, "... Perrrssonally, I ssay that, the technology being as exspenssive to prrrodusce as it is, the designs sshould be prrrovided to anyone who wantss them. Ssome dissagrrree, howeverrr, and I would hearrr otherrr ssuggesstions."Among the dissenting opinions discussed, were the possibilities of abuse by some of the powers that be in the quadrant. While no official representatives of Svajone were present, top Svajone aide Arizhel Velasquez was present in a personal capacity and seemed to express faith in the TDF's decision-making ability:"One last thing, Mister Cliffwalker," she said, "There is a third option." Pause. "Keep it for yourselves. In any case, I'm sure you'll make the right decision. Good day, sir."After the recent news from Svajone, Mr. Cliffwalker took a few questions outside his vessel, the Gan Arrwrrol."I musst confessss to being ssomewhat ssurrrprrrised by the rrressponsse of Ssvajone," he said, "They werrre allowed acscessss to the descision-making prrroscessss and sseemed completely uninterrressted. If the government of Ssvajone, if Mr. Mikage wishes to be treated as part of the galactic community, he shall have to take ssome of the rrresponssibilities that come along with it. Engineerrrs frrrom sseverrral differrrent grrroups arrre sstudying the technology to make scerrrtain that it will do no furrrtherrr harrrm to the multiverrrsse. If Mr. Mikage wisshes morrre inforrrmation than that, my doorrrs arrre open. Thank you."
