Standing not far from the landing patch of the shuttles, a large robotic entity sticks a bit out compared to the other machines here. The only movment of it are the rare corrections to it's stance, which is rather noisy.
Vicky walks down the ramp of the shuttle, after a group of visitors, moving with purpose. She looks around, scanning the flight deck for a certain... shape. And when she finds it, she makes a beeline for it. It happens to be the spider-like Phyrrian that seems to be fidgetting.
M9RU-9K does not clearly react to anything happening on the flight deck, apparently the arrival of a shuttle not worth any special activity. As Vicky closes in on it, the robot gives a whirring sound and turns one face of the top pyramidal shape towards the arrival, the grey domes turning a shade of blue.
"State your designation and function," Vicky 'greets' through a chirping squeal of binary. She stops before it, studying it, hands linked at her back. "You're a newly rifted Phyrrian, are you not?" Vicky
- Vicky
- Victoria appears to be a caucasian human female with soft facial features, platinum blond hair and light blue eyes. Standing about 5'2" with light freckles gracing her complexion, her frame is slight but not gaunt, and she seems to be in her early 20's.
- Currently, she wears a green, argyle sweater vest over a white button-up blouse with rolled up sleeves, and a pair of loose cargo pants tucked into tan work boots.

As Vicky emits "her" address in binary, the Phyrrian lifts slightly, for a few seconds, there is no reaction to the request, then the robot answers in binary as well, "This unit's designation is M9RU-9K. Advanced extraction and rescue unit." As it falls silent, a few stubby items jut from the central bulge of the machine and a soft hum can be heard..after a second or two, it adds, "This unit cannot detect any form of emergency. Please state your business."
Vicky manages a small smile, hands resting on her hips. "No emergency, but I've been told of a recent arrival, and thought I might at least extend an invition to our own... network. Data network, that is. I am ZO2-352. Social unit."
With a clanking sound, M9RU-9K shifts the spots on which the apparently great mass is resting on the landing patch, it's sensoric dome focused unmoving on Vicky. As "she" has fallen silent, extensions of his central bulge withdraw, then the robot replies, "Logically, unit ZO2-352 must have communicated with the bio-unit Leucohyle Hall." Pausing for a second, it then adds, "This unit cannot detect any data network that matches the parameters of the overmind, unit ZO2-352 and due to the sensoric arrays used, this unit computes a very small chance of any such network existing."
"Bio-unit... Yes, Leucohyle Hall is a good friend of mine. And I assure you, such a network exists. We have our own Overmind here. But it is in the process of being reworked. It can provide you with a way to speak with the other Phyrrians here, and you can read up on the information of this universe. You may choose to stay independent if you wish. We have Phyrrians that have opted out. It's simply an offer."
M9RU-9K's sensoric domes shift to a shade of green as Vicky speaks, the machine apparently thinking about her words and after a few seconds of utter silence, it replies, "The existence of another overmind explains this unit's lack of progress in communicating with it." With a soft whirr, the robot sinks to the ground, the bottom pyramid nearly touching the landing pad before it adds, "This unit needs to calculate the chances of returning to Phyrria before accepting such an offer. It would be a breach of protocol otherwise. This unit will authorize unit ZO2-352 to locate and contact it without being part of it's internal network." Once more there is a pause, then it continues, "This unit is still attempting to aquire repair materials for it's damaged internal structures. So the calculations on the matter will take longer than usual."
Vicky watches closely, irises whirring as they focus. "Leucohyle has told me that you've refused her repairs. If you intend to do the repairing yourself, might I suggest visiting New Phyrria on the planet Materi Syna. You're currently on the Sanctuary... I can tell you right now, the chances of returning to Phyrria are very slim. But if you wish to secure the facts by yourself, I shan't stop you."
M9RU-9K rumbles slightly as it once more shifts it's weight, the sensoric dome flickering slightly as Vicky speaks. Immediately after she falls silent, the robot speaks again, "The bio-unit Leucohyle Hall does not have proper authorization to access and repair this unit's internal structures. Unit ZO2-352 should be aware of security protocols when it comes to bio-units." Again it lifts slightly, then adds, "Elaborate on the Subject of New Phyrria and provide data to your claim that this unit cannot reach Phyrria."
"Our rules a little different here," Vicky responds carefully. "We are trying to build trust with organics. Or at least, certain organics. Leucohyle is a trusted Phyrrian roboticist. New Phyrria was created by the New Phyrrian Enclave, an organization within the Orion Confederacy, led by ZO2-791 "Dean". And, as far as I know, it is impossible to jump rifts. For now, at least."
[Skill System] M9RU-9K tests its Computer skill at a modifier of 0. The result is 5.
Again, there is a soft whirr coming from the Phyrrian as Vicky speaks, the sensoric domes flickering lightly and a few seconds after "she" has fallen silent, it speaks again, "This unit has found a reference to ZO2-791 in it's datastore. It computes a high probability that ZO2-791 was transported here as well by an anomaly." After a short pause, it adds, "This unit has not heard any hard evidence to the impossibility of crossing the anomalies or rifts. The fact that ZO2-791 is apparently still here makes it logical that it might not be possible at this time though." Shifting on it's legs, it continues, "Is the unit ZO2-791 the local overmind?"
Vicky mimics a rather organic sigh. "ZO2-791 serves as the current Overmind, yes. But such a role was not meant for a mobile, social Sentinel unit, and we plan on transferring the role to a stationary building in the city. Well, rifts still happen, yes. But we cannot control them. We cannot target a time and location just yet. You said you were meant for rescue?"
With a slight whine, M9RU-9K shifts to correct it's stance, the lack of proper stability maybe a sign of the damage it has suffered. After Vicky has spoken, it immediately replies, "Acknowledged, unit ZO2-352. This unit supposes that the other Phyrrians in this space are still actively seeking to return to our space....and your assessment is correct. This unit is designed for extraction and rescue from extreme environments, including electromagnetic disturbances." After a short pause, it adds, "Currently this unit is not working within acceptable parameters. Any extraction and rescue would cause further damage to this unit."
"It is an on-going effort, yes. And no one shall have you extracting and rescuing anything any time soon. You ought to get repaired first. As I said, you should go to Materi Syna, or at least find Leucohyle in her lab on Comorro. She has repaired me herself, and she is worthy of trust. Or... You can stay here and struggle with standing upright," Vicky grins. "It is your decision. I must be going, however, so good luck. You may contact me if you need to."
If a machine could nod, it would surely do that right now, but instead it replies, "Affirmative. The repairs are of utmost importance and since this unit has no means here, it will follow unit ZO2-352's advice to repair itself in a more proper environment." Pausing a second, it then adds, "The bio-unit Leucohyle Hall has your trust? This unit will calculate the possibility of the bio-unit assiting it in the repairs. This unit will make contact as soon as it has reached a decision." With that, it falls silent and the sensoric domes on the top pyramid turn grey.
