A rat Tiana found in the Tarple patch in Svajone's garden.
He is the runt of a pack of psionic-rats, and lacking the psionic abilities the others possess. In addition to this, Kui is blind, thus he doesn't move around very much, and when he does it's at a very slow, testing pace.
He tends to sleep a lot, and is comfortable with sleeping in one of Tiana's pockets or sometimes on the brim of one of her hats. His favourite food is Tarple.
