Lucius Tullius Castus is a former career infantry soldier from Mars who has served in at least five different militaries. From those who know him, he is a very skilled military leader and operator, with narrow, but deep experience. He's also known for his rather abrasive personality, his penchant for light xenophobia, his rather uncompromising law and order viewpoints and finally, his religious devotion to his polytheistic Martin deities. He has recently rifted back into the Orion Arm, with the VES Minerva.
The Quick and Dirty
Lucius's career started early, at the age of 17 in the Solar Consortium's Guardian Fleet as a marine infantryman. From here, he was with the 1st Marine Expeditionary Force which broke off as a whole to join the Martian Legions representing the nascent Martian Republic, this time as a legionary infantryman. When the Martian Legions rejoined the new Guardian Fleet under Colin Neidermeyer, he was transferred back to the new Guardian Fleet alongside his comrades.
After the Battle of Ganymede in October 3003 in which many of his friends were killed, Tullius Castus started his release process and was out of the Guardian Fleet by Christmas. Several years of freelance work followed, with him ending up in The Warren on Tomin Kora as Giuseppe Marcuccilli's chief of security. Again, this was only a temporary situation. He rejoined a military in August 3006 as a marine infantry NCO in the fledgling New Luna Militia. He would spend a few more years here, getting a commission to Captain during the Phyrrian War of 3007, before again being jostled about when the New Luna Militia was absorbed by the Solar Republic's military, the Vanguard, a move which he had a great part in. It was with the Vanguard that as a member of the 12th Special Forces Unit, Tullius Castus would be in command of a small crew that was to survey Hiverspace along with the crew of the LMS Artemis during the rift crisis as a Chief Warrant Officer.
Due to the lack of any support structures, the small 12th SFU crew disbanded officially, though many of them stayed together. Lucius led them to the nascent Svajone Defence Force, where he and his former Vanguard comrades acted as a training cadre and stood up the SDF's ground capabilities. After amicably parting from the Svajone, he again went to freelance work, mostly route security and convoy protection in the areas of the Ancient Expanse which were bereft of law and order. Upon hearing that the VES Minerva and Colonel Porter were assembling a crew, Lucius signed on with some of his former comrades, including Dirionis Callot as security.
He's recently rifted into the Orion Arm, and after a short bout of captivity on Tomin Kora by Lord Fagin has set up a small private security company. As of March 2651, the company only has three employees; Lucius himself, Bruce Fletcher and Gaius Trebonius. The latter two have been associated with Lucius for a number of years. The company, called Legionary Security Services, specializes in a wide range of services. It has a small office in Queen's City, Sivad, as well as a PO Box in New Valsho, Antimone, where business pertaining to Fringe contracts is directed.
