Grisly Scene at Pro-Longvision Rally!

Posted By: Dice Article: OCT08-1 Reported To: INN Reported On: Demaria Reported At: Thu Oct 23 10:13:43 3008 New Alhira, Demaria: The entire city of New Alhira is in mourning today after an already ugly clash between supporters of President Longvision and Senator Sandwalker turned tragic. As the two forces engaged in a street brawl following the appearance of a Phyrrian who ignited the tense standoff, the question of the fate of the hostages taken nearly two months ago at a Demaria First Party rally was answered. In order to break up the crowd Militia MPs ordered that a pyrotechnics display be set off. When the banners contained in the display unfurled, it was revealed that each of the hostages had been planted within, only to tumble into full view when the display was triggered. Militia sources report that the bodies had been dead for some time, and must have been placed there by tribal forces who had infiltrated the city. While offering up a prayer on the floor of the Senate for the families of the lost hostages Senator Twinstripes Sandwalker questioned the security at the event. "It is inconceivable to me," The Senator said, "That the tribals could accomplish such a spectacular display. In our moment of mourning we are reminded of the security that our President provides us, and the judgment which has brought us to this terrible crossroads."Dapperfur Newschaser, INN

NEWSFLASH: Author dies and spawns singularity

Posted By: Brody Article: OCT08-4 Reported To: SBS Reported On: Sivad Reported At: Wed Oct 29 21:33:53 3008 GRAND ENAJ, SIVAD - Author Charles Walliston Harkness died of an apparent heart attack during tonight's news conference in Independence Dome. Soon after his fatal collapse, a black hole singularity manifested and started swallowing everything nearby. The government has ordered a full evacuation of Grand Enaj. Flights into and out of the planet's main spaceport are cancelled until further notice. Scientists are scrambling to find some way to contain the singularity before it can destroy the entire city or, perhaps, the world. More news as information becomes available.

City evacuated - containment field raised - danger remains

Posted By: Brody Article: OCT08-5 Reported To: SBS Reported On: Sivad Reported At: Thu Oct 30 20:52:45 3008 GRAND ENAJ, SIVAD - Millions of Sivadian citizens have been evacuated off the main island of Enaj to other settlements throughout the Regreb Archipelago after a quantum singularity opened in the Independence Dome after the death of author Charles Walliston Harkness.Government officials remain tight-lipped about the origins of the black hole, saying only that it appears to have stabilized (but has not vanished) after consuming the dead author, a spaceport manager named Lucas Spaulding, and most of the dome's lobby. Scientists from the University of Enaj have established a containment field around the dome, which is now classified as structurally unstable, likely to collapse within a matter of days.Ambassador Torval Graeme Todd told SBS that although the situation on Sivad is "of gravest concern," government officials are not yet ready to declare a full planetary evacuation."It is possible, with all the brilliant minds at our disposal, that we may find a solution to this crisis within a matter of hours," the ambassador said.University of Enaj physics instructor, Dr. Elliott Upton, disagreed as he packed what belongings he could carry into a small personal starship: "It's madness to stay. The singularity may be stable at the moment, but its nature is to expand. That expansion may slow or seem to halt for brief periods, but it will inevitably resume. This world is lost. Anyone with sense has left already. The mildly disturbed are going now. Pretty soon, all that will be left are the dead."
