Bio
Max comes from an alternate universe in which the year is only 2389. The human race went extinct a couple centuries back due to the invention and use of nano-weaponry. Just before they bit the big one (and rendered Earth uninhabitable), they made a breakthrough in genetic engineering. They created a new race called Recombinants. Recoms (as they're often referred to) are humanoids with animal DNA. %r Max was born on the surface of Earth's moon in a place called Alpha City. Back then, Alpha City was a bustling metropolis much like the New York of old Earth. The cost of living on Alpha City was through the roof.. and so was crime. Max was fascinated with firearms since he was a tiny thing, but he lacked the discipline to serve in the military or police force. So instead he got himself recruited into the Luna Crime Syndicate. Max worked for them for a couple of years as an enforcer and assassin. It suited him back then, but he lacked.. discretion. %r He paid for his sloppiness when he was gunned down in a city park for resisting arrest on a weapon's charge. The rabbit spent a couple months under police custody before the syndicate sprung him. Still, he decided to abandon that line of work, and the rabbit moved to Mars. It was there that he met a wolf-recom working as a riot cop. Max needed stability, so he stole the wolf's heart and lived with him as a house-wife of sorts for the next year or so. %r Max craved adventure though, so he left the cop and bought a starship with his mob savings. He hired a crew and set off to make his fortune transporting goods from system to system. The money didn't flow as freely as he was expecting though, and the work wasn't as rewarding as he imagined. Eventually, he got the idea to load up on goods and instead of transporting them, he would make his ship appear disabled and wait for pirates to come sniffing around. He would let them dock with him and try to board, and then he would blast them all back into space and take their stuff. %r That worked out well for Max for several years. However, he eventually came accross a group of pirates who were better prepared than he was. During the fight aboard his ship his entire crew were killed and his ship was badly damaged. He managed to break away from the other ship, and he tried to flee but.. Max had never tried to actually pilot a ship before, and he damn sure didn't know how to fix it. He tried to limp to a nearby port, but instead went the other direction and fell into a trans-dimensional rift.
