Channels

Our channels are for socializing out-of-character. They are not for the dissemination of information about ongoing on-grid activities.

We prefer to keep discussions no wilder than PG-13 on the Public channel. However, we're not interested in playing language police when most client software provides the tools needed to make your own language filters.

Alts (alternative characters)

Alts are open for creation to anyone, though if you're a new player, it's advised to get to know the game a bit, first.

Consent

By applying for a character on OtherSpace, you are effectively giving consent to involve your character in the ongoing story, with all the possibilities that implies - good or bad. You may earn fame and fortune as a hero of the masses. You may become subject to public ridicule. And, although it is extremely rare for characters to die on OtherSpace, it can happen and you must be prepared for that eventuality.

Privacy

In personal dwellings and private areas, players should enjoy an expectation of privacy from the prying eyes of OtherSpace staffers. Anytime a staffer must enter such areas, it MUST be with prior announcement to anyone in the room.

Such expectations of privacy do not extend to public areas. Staffers may lurk in any public zone without first announcing themselves.

OtherSpace staffers may, under very rare circumstances, monitor/log certain players thought to be acting with malicious intent through application of the SUSPECT flag. Such logs are only available to staffers with server access.
