A New Hire

Summary: Katrin has a new ship and now must fill her crew roster. She interviews and hires a few new people while in the Bull and Hawk.

Cast: Katrin, Sahna, Everett, Willow, Eelim, Alhambra, Jane, Rose

Air Date: October 14, 2653

Setting: Bull and Hawk Tavern - Eiru, Pyracan

The large first floor of is home of the Bull and Hawk Tavern, built entirely of dark woods. Walls have been paneled in the same wood as the bar, polished and kept free of dust or grime that could come from daily interactions. High on the walls, near the ceiling are carvings of the hawk in silent flight or the stampeding bull. The designs make their way around the entire border, lending to the establishment's name. A C-shaped bar sits against the back wall with cushioned stools lining the entire length.

A hearth is located on against the right wall, with a large marble mantle carved with six figures - a wildcat, a raven, a mongoose, a horse and rider, a bear and in the center, a rampaging bull. Freestanding tables dot the open the floor, about a dozen in total, some near the hearth. In colder weather, a fire roars there, but during the warmer months, it remains empty, or has decorative baskets lying inside. Hanging above the mantle is a banner of brown silk with a rampaging bull featured prominently. Flying overhead and just slightly smaller is the image of a striking hawk.

Lining both left and right walls are luxurious booths. Each of these booths is more of a cocoon of wooden warmth, lined by velvet cushions of a deep red. Instead of merely just a place to eat a meal and talk, the booths are literally carved from wood, with unique tables settled inbetween two high backed bench-liked structures that curve upwards to the ceiling. The outline of the two seats as they face each other is roughly oval shape, but each booth has its own small variation to create a uniqueness to each spot. To add to this uniqueness, designs have been painted on each of the wood frames, each depicting something different. Some are just flower designs, while others repeat the figures on display along the hearth's mantle. Gauzy red curtains are tied back at each booth, easily released in case the diners prefer a more intimate experience.

On the left side of the bar is a door that leads into the kitchen, succulent smells drifting outwards at all times of the day from featured cuisines of many different cultures. To the right is a large staircase that leads to the second floor, the railing carved with a pattern of roses.

Electricity has very subtly been brought into play through the whole tavern and inn, soft and subtle lights hidden high in the ceiling.

Katrin points a finger to herself and bats her lashes innocently. "Me? Why, Sahna, I have no idea of what you could be speaking," she says lightly. "I am the same, sweet noblewoman from yesteryears who had the Realm turn against her." She seems to be struggling to keep the laughter inside. Everett's appearance causes her to lift a brow, as if trying to remember. Then it clicks. "Ah, yes. Our new guest," she murmurs and then gestures to a barmaid to cut off the cowboy.

The singled out girl crosses over to Everett and bows. "Beggin' your pardon, Master, but my Lady would like a word with you," she says meekly, gesturing in Katrin's direction. "If you please..." And tries to usher the man over to where the two women sit.

Sahna raises a single arch eyebrow at Katrin, smirking at the woman. "This isea of yours will be bigger than Fastheld ever could've hoped, hemmed in by a wall and the old ways as they were." She comments, then turns to regard Everett with a very appriciative look, raking his appearance in head to toe with no effort to disguise the fact. "New guest, eh? Yours?"

"Sure, wouldn't be right ta' take advantage of a woman's hospitality and not acknowledge simple requests, don'tchu worry." Everett says, walking right on over to Katrin and Sahna with an easy gait before leaning rakishly on the booth's partition and saying, "What'cha need, miss?"

"I don't believe I quite caught you name last eve," Katrin muses, looking up at Everett. "I am Katrin, and this is my tavern, the Bull and Hawk." She gestures for him to take a seat. "Perhaps you would be willing to join us." A snap of her fingers and an extra chair is brought over to accommodate Everett. She eyes the man's clothing. "What... location are you from?" she inquires.

Sahna offers Everett one of her most winsome smiles, sharp features rife with amusement. "I need plenty of things, my dear fellow. That's a very broad question." She all but purrs in her contralto, expression purely predatory. "Yes, do join us. The wine is an excellent vintage, perhaps you should try a glass."

"Oregon... Western U-nited states... Earth..." Everett says, before a thought apparently strikes him, "Eighteen sixty seven." he finishes out. Sahna's offer gets a bit of a humoring grin as he tells her, "Ain't never been much for wine, nor for drinkin' while the sun's still up, but thank ya', darlin'."

"I... don't believe I have heard of that place," Katrin admits. "I come from a different world." She shakes her head and once again gestures for Everett to sit. "Have you given much thought as to what you would like to do now that you are here?"

"Nah? I thought that injun woman... Al, was from the same place." Everett takes his seat and says, "Name's Everett Barclay, and no, can't say I have." he takes a quick drag on his cigarette and says, "Keep half expectin' to wake up back in Resolution."

A slight incline of her head. "Yes, I do understand that feeling," Katrin agrees. "When I first came here, all I could hope for was that I would find myself back home once again. But that was several years ago and it has not happened yet." She gives a soft chuckle. "You /will/ grow more accustomed to this universe. The key is to focus on moving forward instead of trying to move backward." she taps a finger to her chin. "What did you do in your world, Mr. Barclay?"

"I was a sheriff's deputy." Everett says, pointing at the badge on his left lapel, "'fore that I was a colonel. Union army. Cavalry, namely." the cowboy subconsciously rubs one of the many scars on his face, the one in question looking vaguely like it came from a bit of shrapnel.

Katrin taps her fingers against the wooden table and nods slowly. "Hmm," she muses. "Well, Mr. Barclay, are you perhaps interested in some work?" she inquires. "At least until you find something a bit more to your liking?"

"I'd like some, yeah, considerin' all I got is about two bucks on me." Everett says, leaning back, "Afraid the sum total a' my skills consists of killin' folks and backin' 'em down, though. Not sure what ya' can do with that, 'less ya' need a lookout for this here bar." the thirty-something man gestures around vaguely.

Katrin smiles, "Well, I can always use additional assistance here in the tavern," she agrees. "However, I am also putting together a crew that would require security support. I have the funds to see you fully outfitted in whatever weaponry you feel most comfortable with."

"That's right kind o' ya', darlin, but I don't think they make the kinda guns I'm comfortable with n'more." Everett says, gesturing to the revolvers on his hips, "Just keep me outfitted in forty-five and I'll make do with my sidearms." the cowboy glances over Katrin briefly before asking her, "Alright, ya' got my attention. What "crew" do ya' need me for? One o' them spacey-ship things Al mentioned last night?"

Katrin inclines her head, "Yes, one of the space-ship things," she affirms. "My crew will primarily be used for exploration, but I also run a business and it could also be required for hauling cargo or other business related things." She lifts her shoulders into a slight shrug. "My main concern is profitability. I am a business woman, after all."

"So you want me to be security on your space-ship... thing." Everett says, scratching his beard, "Alright... I ain't got a lot of prospects right now, but 'fore I jump into it with both feet, I'd like to get a look at what I'm jumpin' inta', so I got a counter offer." he taps his fingers on the table for a moment before continuing, "Imma sit in your bar a couple a' days and be your lookout.. bouncer, whatever you wanna call it. You pay me whatever ya' think is fair, throw in meals, and let me keep a place to stay upstairs. If I like what I see from a couple days here, I'll go with ya' on your expedition. 'Sides, wouldn't do very good to drag me off 'fore I got accustomed, would it?" He smirks a bit, showing a set of oddly well-taken-care-of teeth, "In those couple days, I'll find up stuff I'll need to be security, so it won't be a complete waste for ya'. Deal?"

"Excellent, a man with a head on his shoulders," Katrin says with a smile. "I believe this could be a very profitable relationship for the both of us." She nods. "If you need anything and I am not around, speak with Rose. She has been handling much of the business in here while I am procuring everything I need for this new venture. I will make sure she is aware of what is happening." The pair are seated at a booth tucked mostly into a corner and out of the way.

"Alrigh' then." Everett tells Katrin in response, before asking, "Though my first question here is what does miss Rose look like, so I can recognize the person I'm supposed to be askin'." Everett pulls the badge off his lapel and tucks it into a pocket on the inside of his vest.

Katrin chuckles, "Well... Rose... Rose is like a giant cat," she says slowly. "Dark blue in color. She does stick out for the most part. Lyiri, I believe her race is called." Amusement sparkles in her eyes. "A bit strange when you first see her, but you'll get used to some of the stranger looking species here."

"I see. And anyone not allowed in the bar I should know about?" Everett asks, taking yet another drag on the longest-lasting cigarette ever, "Or just huck out the folks that deserve it?" Everett and Katrin are sitting in a booth out of the way.

"What did you think you were doing? Did you think I wouldn't find out?" People in the tavern might hear Rose's voice before they see the Lyiri, who pushes through the door, fur on end, golden eyes glaring. One of her paws is held firmly around one of Willow's wrists, and her best 'mother-to-kit' voice is on. Rose has just dragged Willow into the tavern. Katrin and Everett are sitting in a booth out of the way.

Willow actually looks worried as she's dragged into the tavern by her wrist. "Rose, let go!" she pleads to the Lyiri as she offers a pleading look to the feliniod. "It wasn't anything heavy. It was to help with the pain. Honest!" She tries to plant her feet, but lacking the weight, she's easily dragged along by the lyiri. "I didn't do anything wrong!" She's bright red from embarrassment, especially at being dragged into the tavern how she is.

Katrin inclines her head, "Yes, there is one gentleman who is no longer welcome in this establishment." She pulls her pda from a pocket and flips through to find a picture of the human known as Tetran. "If he enters here, you are to turn him out. If he resists, then toss him out forcefully, if necessary. I only ask that you avoid killing him." The commotion causes her brows to lift. "Uh..." Very succinct. "Excuse me for one moment. That," And she's pointing at the furry one, "Is Rose."

"...The hell?" Eelim says as he enters the tavern, shrugging lightly as he beelines for the bar. The shirtless Aukami scratches the back of his head, waving lightly to Rose and Willow. "Sup ladies." Then he peers at a holo menu, sitting down at the bar. "Ight...What am I feelin' today..." He mutters.

A faint buzz-and-whir sound accompanies Jane as she enters the tavern, thumbs tucked into her pockets and a lazy smile on her face. At her heels follows a motorized T-rex with compartments in its belly for carrying things; oddly enough, a slight glow seems to emanate from the lowest chamber. The red-headed Sivadian whistles at the 'mood' set by the decor, waggling her eyebrows while scanning the booths carefully. "Brown hair, blue eyes, brown hair, blue eyes, brown hair, blue eyes," she recites to herself. "Aha!" Her gaze alights upon Katrin who is, presumably, the 'brown hair, blue eyes' of her search. She scuffs the floor with the toe of one shoe before slowly advancing upon the woman's booth. Commotion? She's not paying attention.

"Alrigh', so toss out the guy on the magic... thing. No problem." Everett says, scratching his head, "Anythin' else I should know? Alright, avoid killin' the idjit, I can do that." before peering at all the commotion Rose and Willow are causing, "Okay, now see, when you said "cat person", it really hadn't quite sunk in..."

"I wasn't born yesterday young ki- uh, human." Rose replies to Willow, sparing the human a glare and a waggle of a furry finger. "Help with the pain... did the other outversers put you up to this? Was it a hiverspacer? Was it Ikin?" The overweight Lyiri's full attention is on Willow at the moment, one hand on her wrist, the other planted firmly on her hip, tail flicking behind her.

Alhambra clomps in, coat slung over her shoulder. Her long stride slows as she catches bits and pieces of the commotion, and, after a few moments of puzzlement, she just heads farther in. "The hell's going on here now?"

Katrin clears her throat. "Rose!" she calls loudly. "We do not manhandle our guests, even if the guests are also friends." She shakes her head. "Or at least not so publicly. Take her to the back if you want to manhandle." She sighs, "I have a meeting in a few moments, but I want you to meet someone. He'll be helping out around the bar for a few days, until he receives a new assignment."

The squeak from the actress' shoes dragging across the floor comes to a stop when the Lyiri turns and faces her. Willow stares at Rose with a wide eyed look, that actually borders on close to pathetic. "I... It wasn't my fault," she says hesitantly to the Lyiri that's got her by the wrist. "It was..." She goes silent when she notices that people are looking in her direction, and that blush only gets stronger.

"Ayo...Lemme get uh...Karmealija." Eelim orders to whoevers tending to the bar, chilling in his seat as he peers back around him to look around the tavern especially as Katrin speaks out to Rose.

Jane draws up to a stop as Katrin's attention is focused elsewhere, and she arches an eyebrow to follow the woman's gaze. After spotting Rose and Willow, the red-head glances down to the motorized t-rex and shakes her head slowly. "I told you, Margie, Eiru is hoppin'. 's what all the tabloids say, and tabloids don't lie."

Everett only watches the scene with a bit of amusement in his eyes, "Suppose manhandlin' our guests is my job, eh?" he crosses his arms and grins at the commotion and all the fun that goes with it.

Felinoid ears perk as Rose catches the sound of sound of Katrin's voice. A moment's embarrassment flickers across her face, quickly pushed aside as she continues to glare at Willow. "Don't think you're off the hook young ki- uh, human." She turns to Katrin and bows. "Light's blessing. I... I didn't mean to... I'm sorry ma'am." Her tone changed completely as she talks to her boss. "I was just..." The overweight Lyiri clears her throat and nods. "Yes, I'll take her to the back in a bit."

Willow looks away from the felinoid's glare, and her shoulders slump. When the Lyiri turns and bows, she tugs her wrist to see if there's a chance she can get her arm back. "Rose did it," she provides to Katrin for some reason, as she tries to shift the blame onto someone who isn't herself. She gives another pull of her arm, before giving a defeated sigh.

"Hell yeah, we keep it steady bumpin in this bitch," Eelim replies to Jane with a snicker. The thug recieves his drink with an appreciative nod, taking a long sip and fronting some credits. A raised chin greeting towards Alhambra. "Whaddown girl?" "Hey, Jane," Al drawls to the redhead, clomping closer to the bar, which she leans upon while peering at what's going on between Rose and Willow. Everett gets a wave. "Heey, deputy," she calls. "Damn, son. Got a job already? Good on you." After plunking down at the bar, she lifts her chin in greeting to the Aukami and then barks, "Missy Rose! What kind of trouble are y'all getting into now?"

Katrin gives a patient sigh. "Rose, you do not have to apologize for everything that goes wrong," she says slowly. "It is a learning process that you are still working on grasping." She gestures for Everett to join them. "Rose, this is Mr. Everett Barclay," she introduces. "He's going to be working as a bouncer for a few days, to get the lay of the land. He'll be here to support you in keeping the tavern in good condition, and safe from hooligans."

She checks the time. "Hmm. Tall red-haired woman," she muses as she scans the bar. It's much easier to pull Jane out of a crowd than vice versa and she lifts a hand to catch her attention. "My apologies that we are running behind schedule," she calls. "Were you ready to sit down and speak?"

Everett tips an imaginary hat and says, "How do, ma'am." before nodding to Alhambra, "Seems 'at way, yep. Apparently might wind up working on one o' them space-ships you mentioned last night. Still got no clue what on god's green earth a space-ship is, but one step at a time." attention goes back to Rose, "I'll keep an eye out, but you let me know if you have any trouble of a subtler sort 'an drunken idiots."

Jane is momentarily torn between chatting up the familiar Alhambra and answering the summons. "Hey darling," she offers in return to Al along with an apologetic smile. "Come along, Margie." The Sivadian turns on her heel and approaches Katrin with a few long-legged strides, still smiling in lazy amusement. "Ready as ready can be, mum, provided you've not got other things to tend to." She casts a glance toward the quieter women before nodding to Katrin. "Otherwise, down to business."

Rose blushes beneath the sky blue fur of her muzzle at Katrin's words. She nods and offers Everett a deep bow. "Ancestors find peace." The lyiri smiles. "Good to meet another outverser." Al's word's cause a twitch in her whiskers and the Lyiri offers Alhambra a grin, grip still tight on Willow's wrist. "Miss Alhambra! No trouble here. I caught this kit with her nose in the wrong bag."

"It's like a boat in the sky, man, it ain't complicated," Alhambra drawls, and points at Rose. "Hey. Where's my hug, you?"

Everett stands up and says, "Well, I'll let'cha get right down to it, ladies, personally, Imma see about bathin' so I don't smell like somethin' a buzzard would like a snack on. I'll be within' shoutin' distance, though, so gimme a hollar and I'll be down here with both guns blazin'..." a glance at Katrin, "Meta-phorically speakin', o'course..." before tromping off upstairs.

"I didn't even get a chance to get my nose in that bag," Willow grumbles under her breath. She looks towards the Lyiri's paw, and seems to have resigned herself to being held by Rose. Until Al speaks up. "Yeah, where's her hug?" she says to the woman she's with. "Go and give her a hug. I won't run away." Despite still being bright red, she offers up a bright smile.

"That man has the strangest sayings..." Katrin murmurs to herself, eying Everett as he wanders off before nodding to Jane. "Yes, this way, please," she says, gesturing to her private booth that shelters them from the worst of the noise in the tavern. "This shouldn't take overly long, so you can still meet with your other associates soon," she promises with a smile. "Rose, you have the floor but call me if you need anything," she adds to the Lyiri before stepping back to her previous seat. "Would you care for refreshment or food?" she inquires politely.

Eelim exhales lightly then, taking a few more glugs of his Hekayti brew. His free hand idly lifts the chain around his neck a moment before the tattooed Aukami watches Jane, Rose and Katrin with curiousity a few moments.

Alhambra peers at Willow. "Uh huh. You need a hand over there, Missy Rose, or have you got it? Cause I feel like a beer and you're gonna have an awful time serving it with that chick stuck to your arm."

"Come along, Margie," Jane mutters again to the moto-bot, and it follows along at her heels. "This is your place, then? It's very lovely. I like the atmosphere! And the curtains. I would have picked red too." She gazes around once more at the tavern proper before slipping into the booth opposite of Katrin. "Oh? No, I had my supper already, thanks. Who're my other associates?"

"Okay Miss Alhambra!" Rose deftly passes Willow's wrist across to the large human before wrapping her own paws around Al in a tight squeeze. When she steps back, the overweight Lyiri is smiling. "Don't let this kit out of your sight. I'm still trying to devise a suitable punishment..." And with that, Rose is padding her way behind the bar, ready to serve patrons as required.

Eelim peers towards Willow, speaking, "Whaddya do? Seems like your in some deep shit." Another glug of his dark brew and he sets it down a moment, lounging in his seat as he looks towards the Outverser.

Willow finds herself off balance when Rose passes her wrist across to the other woman, and she stares wide eyed at Al. "Hi," she squeaks nervously, and that look of embarrassment doesn't fade. "I think this is punishment enough, Rose!" she pleads. Her gaze slowly shifts towards Eelim, and she whines, "Uh... I brought some stuff that Rose didn't approve of. It's not fair and everyone on Hekayt Prime does it!"

"Yes, this is my establishment," Katrin confirms with a smile. "It was a subtle recreation of places from my homeworld," she explains. "A mixture of some of my past taverns. An homage to the past." She waves a hand. "However, as I've indicated to you in our correspondence, I am looking to expand beyond just a tavern here on Eiru. There is a great deal of space out there that remains unexplored and I would be quite happy to claim my own piece of it, if possible." She smiles across to Jane. "I am looking for those like-minded individuals who would also like to search the stars and be explorers."

"So? You wanna do what everybody on Hek Prime does, go to Hek Prime," Alhambra philosophizes, accepting possession(?) of Willow's wrist with a mild look of bemusement. Well, hey, whatever gets the beer flowing. Her grip is firm, but not crushing. "The folks who live here on Eiru like Eiru to be a nice, frontier-y kinda place. So what's this 'stuff' you're bringing around here, huh? Something hippie-dippy?"

"Like what?" Eelim inquires of Willow with a half shrug. A snicker towards Alhambra, "C'mon, it can't be -that- bad. Not like ol' girl here is settin' licks and fuckin' around wit cutie pies of red lightnin' or nothin'." He takes another long slurp of booze, empty mug set down as he orders, "Another one."

Jane listens quietly and nods to Katrin to indicate she is listening. When the tavern is mentioned, her gaze sweeps it once more before returning to settle on her fellow human across the table. "Exploration is something I did regularly with Vad--with the now president of the Confederacy prior to our appearance in Hiverspace. I haven't had much time to become acquainted with this side of space, but I'm impatient to test my ship in 'deeper waters'. What precisely would be my role in your organization?"

Rose pours Eelim another mug and places it in front of him, putting her paws on her hips afterwards and giving the Aukami the kind of look that suggests that his interference with Alhambra and Rose style justice is not appreciated. "Do you want to be like all the other Hekayti? Is that's what's /cool/ these days?" She directs at Willow, golden eyes shining dangerously.

Willow stares at Al, like she's trying to figure out what she just said. "Hippie-dippy?" is parroted in a confused tone. She glances towards Eelim, like he might be her ticket to freedom. "Oh, nothing heavy. Just some things to help get my mind off the little bit of pain I've got." She slowly shakes her head to the other woman. "I wasn't bringing anything in. Smuggling is bad, and you can get in a lot of trouble doing that." Rose's glare causes her to shrink away, and tries to move so that she's using Al as a glare-shield.

"I suppose it depends on how much ownership you would like to take," Katrin replies. She smiles, "I am ambitious, but have little hands on experience with space travel and space exploration," she admits grudgingly. "I need someone who will be able to advise on what the best course of action will be, and how to keep an edge on all of our competition."

Katrin flips through a few papers from a pile that had previously been sitting on the table. "You indicated that you have your own ship, I believe. You are welcome to hire on as an independent and keep your own ship and your own crew. Your initial pay would be higher, but you would be responsible for paying your own crew and you would be a contractor that would receive pay with each job you accepted." She pauses and pushes the paper across the table to Jane. "Or you are welcome to keep your ship for your own personal use but take a position on /my/ ship, either as her Captain or any other position you would feel comfortable in. Your pay would be lower, but steady and you would not be responsible for paying crew. That would come from my organization. As a full-time employee for me, you would have more say in day to day activity."

Eelim laughs lightly, a few specks of gold mixing into his green eyes as he recieve's Rose's look. "Sorry, sorry. Don't poison me." He turns towards Willow, clears his throat, and tries as hard as he can to keep a straight face, "Drugs are bad.." He lets out a little snicker towards the end, but regains his composure. He looks at Al, Rose, and then tries to sneak a wink at Willow before taking another long slurp of booze, hiding a grin.

"You present two separate scenarios that both have their appeal," Jane replies to Katrin quietly, lounging back on the bench and crossing her arms over her chest. She toys with the collar of her flowered shirt and gazes at a spot just to the left and above Katrin's head. "I am more used to a ship-and-crew situation - the Baconus Rex is only a tradehauler with enough bunk room for one more crewmate. I wouldn't have the staff to accept very many jobs, and I'm--not that great with managing money." She squints and reaches up to scratch her head before flipping a pigtail over her shoulder. "Do you mind if I think about it a little bit? I wouldn't opt to be captain if I can help it; I'm pretty much just a pilot and occasionally a back-up gun. Hey, do you like dinosaurs? Because I have an egg that I'm incubating, and it might turn out to be a baby dinosaur. You never know."

Alhambra shrugs one shoulder. "Cool, then," she drawls. "I've just done enough tard-wrangling for a while, I do not need to wrestle some cracked out dipshit. It will put a damper up-on my weekend..." She follows Willow's gaze over to Eelim, and smirks at the woman. "Honey now don't you get any ideas, I told you, I have had my fill of tussling for a bit and it would not go well for anyone attempting shenanigans."

"By the Saints, I'm not cranked up! I'm not a drug fiend!" Willow whines at Al, with a frown as that red blush returns to her cheeks again. "A little bit every now and then isn't too bad." She grumps and folds her free arm across her stomach, before giving the Aukami who winked at her a strange look. A very strange look.

Paws still on her hips, Rose continues to glare at Willow. It seems like she has no intention of stopping until, in the blink of an eye, the Lyiri is smiling again. "So! Ms Willow, can I get you something to drink?" Her tail flicks behind her and she shifts her golden eyed gaze to Eelim in a considering fashion. "We've met before, Ancestor's know peace. Though, I believe I missed your name."

"What's a ... dinosaur?" Katrin asks curiously of Jane with a tilt of her head. She gets her mind back on business. "Yes, take some time to think on it. I would be glad to see you come on in either capacity. If you know of any others that are looking for steady employment then please, let me know. Especially the science types." She smiles, "Please let me know as soon as you can, though."

Sahna steps past the threshold and immidiately heads for Katrin, her expression sour as she tucks a PDA away into her briefcase. "Light, Di, I'm sorry about that, one of my accountants thought they found a discrepancy and I had to go check it out in person." She declares in a crisp contralto, glancing over at the others gathered. "Well, I see it got busy while I was gone. Do you want me to come back another time?"

With a twist of her lips, Jane glances sideways to the approaching woman before offering Katrin a brief smile. "Nevermind dinosaurs for now, mum. I'll introduce you to 'em later. I'll let you know by tomorrow what my decision is, but you can count me among your retinue either way. Margaret, to the bar. I'm getting thirsty." She slides out of the booth, straightens her flowered shirt, and watches as the little moto-bot whirrs up to sit beside the bar. "It was a pleasure to meet you."

Rose's glare seems to continue to unsettle Willow, and she doesn't look towards the Lyiri. Though the change of voice, causes her to look back towards her, and she arches a brow as she considers the felinoid. "A drink?" She seems a little cautious at first, and then offers a little nod. "Just a light beer," she mutters, as she looks down towards her feet. "He's an Aukami," she helpfully informs Rose about Eelim.

"A pleasure, Jane," Katrin replies, holding out a hand to the tall woman. "I look forward to working with you in whatever capacity you might choose." She smiles, "Walk in the Light," she adds before looking over at Sahna with a laugh. "It is no trouble. I got busy with work anyway. No, come and sit down again." She gestures to Jane. "This is Jane. She will be coming on and working with us. Jane, Sahna Nillu, my business associate."

"What, I was jus'..." Eelim starts to defend towards Willow, but just raises his eyes skyward and shakes his head. "Nevermind." As Rose looks towards him, he extends one of his tattooed arms out for a hand shake. "What it is, girl. Name's Eelim Rendan. Yeah I stop by here every now 'n then. I'm feelin' the place yall got here." His hues get a light copper tone, "And you are?" A glance around, and he narrows his eyes. "Ay this ain't like...Ladies night, is it? Why am I the only dick up in this place?"

"Listen to you -complain-," Alhambra chortles, stretching out with an overly wide yawn. "I don't know, I think most of the fellas went to the the mainland or someshit. Ain't my turn to watch 'em. Heh heh."

Rose's ears twitch as she takes Eelim's hand with her paw and shakes it gently. "Call me Rose," She replies, her smile showing off sharp feline fangs. "And I'm glad you like it here. I must admit, I've come to call it home myself." She looks across the room to where Katrin is for a moment, her smile warm, before looking back to her work. The Lyiri gets a bottle for Willow. It might be a bottle of light beer. She sets it down on the bar and tugs at the sleeves of her shirt absent mindedly. "No, I don't think so. We had quite a nice young outverser man in here just before. He's upstairs getting bathed."

"They're most likely seeing the Pycani prostitutes on the main land," Willow helpfully comments to Eelim. She trails off thoughtfully, and purses her lips. "You know how people get pubic lice, I wonder if they get pubic fleas? If they do, does it infect their entire body?" It's all said accidentally as she thinks outloud, before she gives a shudder and makes a face.

"Jane.. A pleasure to meet you." Sahna demures, settling back in at the booth and reclaiming her wine with a faint smile. "I've a mind to think this will turn out to be a success, Di. I just have a good feeling about it."

"You too, Miss Nillu," Jane replies to Sahna, lingering a moment in order to conform to social norms. "I--hope everything is well with you both, and have a great--evening. And stuff." She lapses into silence, rocking back on her heels and clearing her throat. "Well, I'll go now. Bye." With that, she turns and summons her bot with a whistle. "Let's go, Margie. I've gotta check up on the Baconus Rex."
