The market is busy as is the norm one would assume. People are jammed around the stalls or in groups chatting. Vessa seems to be wandering the stalls checking to see whether she might be interested in the wares found there or not but seems to be rather half hearted about the venture.
The Falari here tower over even the huge form of a dark-furred Demarian who makes his way through the market, his nostrils twitching as he sifts through the many scents that fill the air. His ears swivel about, tracking just about anyone who nears him.
Vessa Harden seems to have her attention caught by the Falari. She seems rather fascinated at seeing yet another race she had not previously met however, with a shake of her head she goes back to her browsing.
Hanging along the edges and shadows of the buildings is Raisa. She isn't exactly hiding, more of doing her best to blend into the crowds. There is a scowl resting across her face as she too seems to have a particular location in mind.
[Skill System] Raisa tests her Stealth + Sneaking at a modifier of 0. The result is 4. [Skill System] Razorback tests his Perception + Hearing at a modifier of 0. The result is 15. [Skill System] Razorback tests his Perception + Smell at a modifier of 0. The result is 15.
Razorback pauses, his nose twitching faintly. His ears cant forward as he turns his head first to one side, then the other. He finally sights the person his nose told him was there. He moves towards the place Raisa stands. "Good afterrrnoon," he rumbles as he approaches the humanoid woman.
Vessa Harden hears the greeting from behind her and, thinking it is for her, turns. Once she realizes that it was for another and who that other is, she heads over upon recognizing Raisa. Once close enough she nods in greeting to here, with a quick look to the Demarian. "Hey there, how goes?" she asks quietly, trying not to draw any more attention to her.
"Razorback," Raisa replies with some level of cautious and a polite smile. Vessa gets a nod in greeting. "What brings all of you down into this region. The beaches are in the opposite direction."
The Cliffwalker's ears swivel towards the stranger and he studies the approaching woman for a moment before turning towards Raisa. He tilts his head somewhat as searches her face. "Is ssomething wrrrong?" he asks her, confusion spreading across his muzzle as his tail flicks back and forth.
Vessa Harden shrugs at Raisa's question, "Exploring the planet that has become my new home I suppose. Not really much else to do until tonight or unless I get a call from Diri." she nods to Razorback, "Hi there, I am Vessa and it is nice to meet you." she then looks at Raisa curiously, "Eh, do I look the beach type?" looks at herself for swim suit and suntan lotion, of which she seems to be lacking.
"It's nothing, Razor," Raisa replies, shaking her head. "Don't worry about it." She tucks her hands into her back pockets and shrugs. "Haven't seen anything of him since we came back from that mission." She takes in a deep breath before facing the Demarian. "How is everything on Materi Syna?"
Vessa Harden nods at Raisa's words, "Nor have I and I do hope everything is okay." she then smiles to Razorback, "It is a true pleasure to meet you."
Raisa nods slowly and manages a faint smile. "And Vadim? How is he doing? I do hope he is handling things better than before." Vessa merely gets a distracted look of acknowledgment.
"He sseems happy enough," the Cliffwalker tells Raisa with a nod, "In fact, betterrr than I have known him to be forrr ssome time." He turns to Vessa with a faintly amused smile. "Is it now?" he asks, showing his fangs a bit as he grins, "That is good to hear these days."
Vessa Harden looks mildly surprised at Razorback, "Why is that particularly good to here now? Should it not always be a pleasure to meet someone new, so long as that person isn't trying to fill you full of holes of course."
"That... that is excellent news," Raisa says quietly. "Guess I should continue to keep my distance from there then." A frown flits across her pale features before she clears her throat. "I should continue on with what I was doing. See you around, Razor." With a quick dip of her head, avoiding eye contact, she tries to depart.
An eyeridge quirks a bit as Raisa moves to depart and he offers her a bow in farewell. "Take carrre, Miss Rrraisa," he says, some melancholy darkening his eyes for a moment before he turns towards the other woman. "I do not always get ssuch a warrrm rrresception," he tells her, smiling faintly now, "Do a lot of people attempt to give you additional ventilation upon firrrsst meeting you?"
Vessa Harden waves at Raisa, "Take care of yourself then." she then turns to Razorback, "Depends on the situation. Back in my time in my universe I was in the Marines and the people we went to have chats with generally spoke with their firearms. I think that was generally the only language they understood." she says with a grin. "So why don't you usually get such a warm greeting, you seem like a nice enough bloke?"
With a nod, Raisa disappears down an alley, shoulders hunched over.
"Well," the big Demarian replies, "Whatever a bloke is, not everrryone likess them." Deep laughter feels his chest as he shakes his head. "At any rrrate, I had betterrr get back. I have a meeting to attend sshorrrtly."
Vessa Harden watches a moment as Raisa disappears then nods at Razorback, "A bloke is a male person and you seem nice enough to me." she grins and nods, "Hope to see you around, maybe grab a drink sometime. Enjoy your meeting." she waves and turns to head back to listless browsing of the stalls again.
