Location: Skovas, Hall of Elders
Participants: Xiq'Vuular, Ladek
The Hall of Elders is a buzz with activity. Kirvir traders and leaders talk amongst themselves in one corner of the Hall, almost seperated from the rest of the members of the Dominion - not being a full member of the Dominion. Several Myini belonging to the Order of the Druid are present, along with members of the Idaran leadership. Lining the walls of the Hall, members of the Dominion Military, weapons in hand. In the center of the room, standing in front of several holographic projectors, stands Rear Admiral Xiq'Vuular, along with half a dozen body guards. One of the officers announces the invited guests approach, having previously been searched at the transfer point on Dawnlight before heading in to Skovas. The doors to the Hall open, allowing the guests from the Expanse to enter.
Searches and invitations. It sounds wonderful and an honor, but Ladek's features are simply a quiet smile as the rifter makes his way to enter proper amongst the variety of people, and the Elder's Halls. With a sweep of his unusual violet gaze, he makes a motion for two of Cerulean's Elite to follow with him, a scruffy youth of human descent, and a Demarian nobleman by his style. The man gives a polite incline towards each of the people he may come across, and regards each of Dominion's Guards as scenery, his gaze resting to be on Xiq'Vuular, "You know who it is that I am to speak to, Sir?" he inquires, "I am Ladek Dall, of Cerulean," calling from his area away and trying to stand nearer the Druids if allowed by escorts.
"We know who you are, Mister Dall." The Rear Admiral says, as only one of the holographic projectors activate. A hologram of a red cloaked figure, the same one visiting the various Expanse worlds. After a moment, the figure releases his hood, showing off his Myini features.
"I am Councillor Ladaran, of Circe. This transmission comes from the Ancient Expanse, where I oversee the military operations. You, Ladek Dall, have been called before the Council. This council is tired of your pathetic world, and you're equally as pathetic leadership. We are a jump away from Cerulean, we attacked you once. Yet you continue to publically assault the Dominion of Self-Aligned Worlds on the galactic media. Why?" The Myini Councillor asks, not actually expecting a response. "We grow tired of you. I am surprised, however, that you came this far. Allowed your weapons to be taken, and to walk into a trap. Admiral, rid of us this annoyance, once and for all. We take Cerulean and its resources at daybreak." The hologram looks down at the man, waiting for him to say something as the guards draw their weapons.
Ladek lifts up a brow with a raise of his hand to make a motion, "You think I would come this far simply to surrender, I knew full well what this was, but kill me and you really will start a war, I assure you." The two Elites flank to the rifter's sides to draw any fire should an order be given. His smile stays, "You ever wonder why I survive much, what I've seen, what it can benefit for you, if you thought that putting a bounty up for more if I am alive, then certainly you would believe that I have more to offer than if you shoot me."
The Myini Councillor remains silent as the guards come up towards Ladek and his two associates. "You are a mere bug of a world. You know nothing, mister Ladek. And you are known for playing the side that will benefit you the most, at the time. A week, a month from now, you will change that side if it suits you. We will not give you that option."
Several guards move up to Ladek's men, aiming at them from behind and opening fire.
A sigh. Thats what Ladek gives during the words. It gives him time to think. It is expected, this situation. A glance is given to the Druids with a calm serenity, 'At least the Expanse will fight back at least,' are the rifter's thoughts.
And then they open up their weapons, the youth jumping to keep a bullet from Ladek and takes one to the head and slumps to the floor, sputtering blood. A charging yowl comes from the Demarian as his fist raises but is caught by a bullet at his chest, a moment to bring up his paw to the wound, hit to his side, "F-For Cerulean," he says, and passes from this life to the next.
Having figured things would become like this, Ladek swivels on a foot and then makes his way to the door to try and escape the Hall, knowing well it might cost him his life, and hopes that his friend's generous sacrifices for Cerulean will give him an opening.
As Ladek takes off after the guards shoot his comrades, the two who fired the shots are caught off guard, allowing Ladek to pass them. Vuular and his guards open fire at Ladek, who has his back to them, hoping to end his misery. The guards at the door take a few steps forward to corner the man, as guards from around the room start to close in on Ladek.
Shoom shoom! Two clear shots of plasma reach Ladek, searing through his protective jacket and cauterizing as the man yell with hurt, and begins stagger, a leg giving a wobble and partly coming to the ground, but then the rifter manages to keep to his feet, standing up, a hand to the opposite side of which he was hit, "M-must, protect Cerulean, even if I," there's a shudder with a trickle of blood from his mouth, "Haha, at least, the secret of, Time Neutral, will go with me," he whispers, guns aimed at him. The man closes his eyes, "K-Karlanna," he manages, and tries to step towards the door, "Honor," he says, quite possibly kept from moving even if he could, though alive for the moment. Its hard to say whats on his mind though.
As Dall somehow gets up from the hits to the back, Vuular and his guards fire another barrage at the running coward. The two guards that Dall was able to by pass have turned around, firing at the man as soon as they turn. The guards at the door, like everyone else, open fire at the oncoming man as several of the guards at the sides run towards the guards at the door to assist. "Kill him, fools!" The Rear Admiral yell as his plasma rifle discharges another round.
Whoosh! Plasma is flying and hitting the Admiral's own people, and Ladek tries to make his way to the door and by the Soldiers that are posted. A hand brushes at his belt, "Still time to make a proposal, even if hardly to be allies!" he tries to yell and coughs somewhat, and will likely only lighten up on his trying rush if something is bothered to be said. Either way, at the end of the day, Dall just proved that redshirts really cant shoot.
Redshirts indeed - the bafoons couldn't take single unarmed man! Xiq orders the rest of the men to open fire, along with him and his other personal guards. "I'll skin you all alive if he gets outside! Dall you won't get off this planet alive!" He shouts!
