Xanya's Guide to Hekayti Credits
In my time on otherspace I have heard one question being asked a lot especially by people new to the game. This question is: "How do I make money?" Or "How do I get money?" The currency used in game is the Hekayti credits. It can be used to buy gear, pay crew, buy a home or even starship. There are various ways to get the Hekayti credits, like getting a job, become a part of an organization or making and selling products yourself. In this guide I will try to go into the different ways you can get money.
Join an organization.
To get a steady income You can join one of the many organizations that are around. Going this route means you will not only get a stay income but also have a group of people you can RP with. To find an organization you can join you can ask around on the public channel or look at the organization list on the wiki page. The wiki page is not guaranteed to be up to date but it will give you an idea of what options you have. When you finally have joined an organization you can get your income by using the command: +org/paycheck You have to remember to do this on a daily or weekly bases, depending on what your organization uses.
Jobs
Another way to get money is by doing various jobs. To get a list of job options you can use the command +items Dominion/Jobs In this list you will have various job options. You have Entry-level gig's for when you are just starting and don't have enough skills yet. Next to those are advanced gig's, Lead gig's and also Revenues.
Let's say your character has just started as an engineer. An entry-level gig is a good way to start earning some credits. To see what you need to earn credits type the command: +consider Entry-Level Engineering Gig
This will give you a list with details on the Entry-Level Engineering Gig. You will see that you need to have your engineering skills to level 4 and Mechanical skill's to level 1. next to those skills you will require to have an Engineering permit and a Tier 3 Miracle worker. If you don't have either of those yet you can see what you need to get them By using the +consider command with each item. For example: +consider Engineering Permit Will show you a list of things you need to get your Engineering permit. +consider Tier 3 Miracle Worker Will show you the requirements to get the Tier 3 Miracle Worker.
once you have everything you need for your Entry-Level Engineering Gig Type +craft Entry-Level Engineering Gig When done you will get a message that it has been successful and you will have gained 162 credits. to check what amount of credits you have you can look in your inventory with the command: +inv
Crafting and selling
Another way of earning money is by making or crafting things yourself and then sell them to whoever wants to buy them from you. If your an engineer you can craft things like armor, weapons, vehicles, Robots, buildings, and more. To see a list of options use the command: +items This will show you various categories to choose from. pick one like for example Armor smithing. +items Armorsmithing Will show you a list of armor you can make. To see what you need to make something like a Light Energy Armor use the +consider command to see the list of requirements. +consider Light Energy Armor. To see what an item can do, use the +einfo command. +einfo Light Energy Armor
When you have crafted items you can sell them to characters or you can wait with crafting until you get an order from someone and then craft what they want.
