Biography
From the moment I formed, I was trained to be a Lifebearer, one of the many who brought life in the form of wonderous electricity back to the Henge. It was a tough training, as I had to be fast, strong, perceptive, and resolute to stay alive due to the harsh storms and vicious depolarized I would have to face. I trained for many years, and was only permitted to start my first runs at the age of 100. Of course, as all young Lifebearers are, I was very eager to bring power to my people, and though my first few attempts were unsuccessful, I became very skilled at what I did, bringing much energy to our Henge, and even venturing into the territory of the Slllasa and the Yunnnna on occasion. I would even say I was celebrated, although that sounds rather arrogant. But, despite my efforts, our Henge was weakening. We had a very low number of able Mrrriti, and we were not getting enough power to create more of our people. Depolarized raids were becoming more and more common as the tribes noticed our weakness, and it got harder and harder to go out due to such raids. But in the name of my people and my Henge, I had to work harder. My teacher and brethren had always instilled within me a sense of duty and selflessness, and this was needed then more than it had ever been needed before. I started to go out to recharge the outstones even more, running ever closer to the other races’ territories. And then, one day, I went too far. It was a typical run, and I was nearing the storm, when I heard another approaching. As I turned back, I saw it was a Yunnnna Mrrriti! What they were doing following me, I did not know, but I did know that I needed to lose them. However, no matter how I tried, they kept behind me, moving ever closer. Finally, he caught up with me, using the hook on his Knntu to trip me up, and swiftly stabbing the spear end into my back. As quickly as that, I was downed, and hardly able to stand, much less complete my task. The Mrrriti, thinking his work was done, left me to die out there, by the Burn or discovery by the Depolarized. But I would not give up. For days and days, I tried to crawl back home, my energy leaving me by the hour, until I finally could not function any longer. I felt death upon me, and as much as I could not stand to face it, I was drifting away, slowly. Finally, it all went black...
I opened my eyes to find myself in a large room of iron, with small men in white coverings surrounding me, studying me. I tried to move, but they had me restrained, locked by large metal rings to the ground below. They were studying me as if I were some sort of animal. Of course I did not enjoy this, and tried to break free, but I was too weak. They had given me power, but not enough…they were more intelligent than they seemed. They spoke to me in languages I could not understand. I tried to tell them this, but they did not seem to understand me either. It went on like this for weeks, and they conducted numerous tests on me, seeing how I responded to various stimuli and such, conducting experiments on my crystals and my hard stone skin. My life was very boring there, albeit a bit less dangerous than my past employment. But, one day, I suppose they figured out as much as they could, and without warning, they dumped me on a planet covered in vegetation, with a few small settlements dotting the surface. I know this because I saw it as I fell. They could not land, as their ship was too big, so they just jettisoned me right below the clouds. It was a hard fall, and nearly shattered a few of my crystals, but I ended up intact. It turns out I had landed directly on a landing pad. I supposed I really didn’t have any option but to have a look around...
Description
Before you stands a huge humanoid creature made of stone, about 12 feet tall, with eyes of a glowing cyan colour that seem to crackle with electricity and energy. Its body is made up of many very large rocks, mostly looking like black onyx, though its lifestone is of a slightly lighter hue. It has huge limbs and hands tipped with large, thick fingers, not very good for fine motor movements. Its feet are shaped similarly to the hooves of the earliest horses, with four toes instead of two. Its legs are rather large as well, though its torso gives it most of its height, accounting for almost 2/3 of its length. Large, glowing orange crystals jut out from certain places in its body. A few short crystals sprout from the middle and back of its head, while quite a few larger ones adorn its shoulders. Crystals of varying sizes run all the way down its back, though they are much sparser than on its shoulders. Moss and lichen runs down his back as well, and a few vines entwine with the crystals, flowers resembling the famed “deadly nightshade” plant sprouting from them. As imposing a figure as it presents, it seems to speak with a calm composure most of the time, his voice a soft strumming tone. Once in a while, one may catch a glimpse of the pulsating cyan filaments that hold his body together, placed where its joints would be.
