Koh Iseul is a recently promoted detective with the San Angeles Police Department. In her brief time in this position, she has taken on several large cases that have caused quite a bit of publicity for the SAPD.
Childhood
As the only child of her upper-middle class family, Iseul grew up knowing comfort and love from her parents. Her mother was a prominent Psychiatrist in private sector while her father was a government contractor for his work with data programming and security.
Her parents came to San Angeles while they were in their twenties from their native country of South Korea, so Iseul maintained a strong connection to her roots. From a young age, she was coached in taekwondo and eventually became quite proficient in it, rising to the level of an eighth degree black belt. She also partook in dance, both traditional Korean forms and other classics, such as ballet.
Iseul was very gifted intellectually and ended up finishing her undergraduate and graduate studies by the time she was 20. She chose to follow in the footsteps of her mother as a Psychologist.
San Angeles Police Department
Iseul joined the San Angeles Police Department when she was twenty-one after realizing that she wanted to have a career that was more rewarding and do her best to defend her city.
In June of 2650, she was promoted to the rank of detective and has since been working her own cases.
In September of 2650, Iseul became the lead detective on several cases that seemed to have nothing to do with each other, but were of high importance for the city and the Police Department. This brought her face to face with CIS on a number of occasions, coming under the firm belief that they were at least indirectly responsible for what had been happening. Shortly afterward, in mid-December, she was summoned for a secret mission paired with CIS but she and her people were instead betrayed and used as lab rats for an experiment on CIS and were sent through a rift into Hiverspace.
