Human characters are brought to Hiverspace (where the game is set) through unstable rifts in time and space. Due to the nature of these rifts, humans come from different points in space and time. While many humans are from different time periods of Earth and brought through the rifts, there are other major human subraces that settled on other planets. For the most part the biggest difference between these subraces and humans from Earth are background and ethnicity.
