A man from the 21st Century on Earth, having reacently found himself as the stranger in the strange land that is Hiverspace. Spent a number of years so far in his life as a soldier, and some as part hired security, part investigator for hire. Still getting used to where he has ended up.
Before being rifted
Born in the earlier parts of May 1977 to Richard Hamilton, a diplomat, and his wife Dr. Svetlana Semyonovna Ivanova, a medical doctor that had managed to get herself out of Soviet, in the Essex village of Boreham. He was the couple’s only child, and his parents usually gave him what they thought he needed. Much of the time, it wasn’t the things he needed after all, though. Through his childhood and youth, it became clear that he wasn’t going to follow in the footsteps of any of his parents. He didn’t have the patience for schoolwork, although he was far from stupid. He didn’t have his father’s sense for diplomacy either, as he usually said what he meant. He was also perhaps a bit of a scoundrel and troublemaker. He also played in a band with a few of his friends, playing the drums and being one of the singers. Since then, he’s had a tendency to be drumming on things whenever he feels under pressure, or stressed or something like that. He also has a tendency to quote song lyrics every now and then. When he was old enough, he left home to join the British Army, and spent the next decade as an infantryman, becoming Sergeant during that time. For the last four years of that time, he was stationed with the troops in Afghanistan. His time there came to an end a few months after he turned 28, when him and three of his fellow soldiers, including one of his best friends, were out on a routine trip by car. As they had made a short stop because Semyon had to answer nature’s call, a bomb destroyed the car as he was about to go back to it, and the three others lost their lives within it. Due to the psychological effects from this event, he was sent back home and discharged. Back home, he spent the next few months doing nothing, only hitting the pubs to try getting the memories of that incident away, and getting into some troubles. And one day, it got too far. He ended up in a fight when leaving a pub, and got sent to jail for nine months. His time there was rather hard, but he managed to get through it, and when he got out, he got to work as security for hire, while also taking jobs as a private investigator. He had some principles for that job, the major one being that whenever someone paid him to do a job, he stayed bought. And it was on one of those jobs, not long after he had turned 34 that changed it all. When he was following a lead, his car’s engine died when he was in the middle of a railroad crossing. As he worked on getting it started again, there was a train fast approaching, and he found he couldn’t get out in time. But suddenly there was a flash of blue lights, taking him away right before the train rammed the car and completely destroyed it. And suddenly Semyon found himself in a strange new world…
The Ongoing Story
He appeared in Eiru, Pyracan, seeming rather confused about where and when he was. It's taken him a few days to figure out that he's somewhere he never expected to be, but is determined to do something out of it, however he can.
