Introduction
Less than seven hundred miles from Pyracan's equator, Eiru is an 1850 square mile tropical island in a volcanic arc known as Cuirrc Nation. It is the fourth of seventeen islands in the island chain, and the third largest.
Geography
Formed from volcanic rock following an underwater volcano eruption and the eroded pink coral reef that clung to it afterwards, Eiru features two stately mountain ranges on its western coast that take up a third of the island, along with a broad valley surrounded by a ring of low hills. On the northeast coast, there is a small settlement of Outversers.
Mountains
Eiru features two large gray mountains on its western side, Uisce and Dufairr. Uisce (you-IS-key) rises 5803 feet above sea level in the center-southwest of the island. Dufairr is 7112 feet above sea level in the northwestern corner of the island. While there have been over two dozen unaugmented and documented climbs to Uisce’s summit, there have been no unaugmented and documented ascents to Dufairr’s peak without the use of strength cybernetics, psionics or flight. This is largely due to the fact that the only known ascent route has no anchor points and features a fifty yard underhang with few handholds.

Timeline
- ~0 CE - Eiru is believed to have first been populated by what would later become the Cannainn tribe, a seafaring group known for their sailing prowess.
- ~1400 CE - Anthropologists believe that the residents were wiped out somewhere around this time in some sort of sudden epidemic, though the cause is as yet unknown.
- 1897 CE - Reighainn explorers rediscover the island and name it Eiru after the discoverer's wife. They set up a small fort in the southern bay of the island.
- 1937 CE - Dourragh forces, having made a pact with Fort Mesomel over the allegience of the Cuirrc islands to the growing 'One Nation' movement, arrive in Eiru to inform the inhabitants. Rather than acquiesce to their superiors' orders, Fort Eiru chooses to fight the Dourragh armada. They are killed to the last man and the fort burned to the ground.
- 2441 CE - Worldwide economic depression causes the Grand Council to auction Eiru and several other properties off to the highest bidder to pay its debts. A secretive Hekayti who only goes by Praell is the highest bidder, and subsequently hires an armada of sea ships to prevent anyone from approaching the island. At some point around this time, workers plant piorra, an intensely-flavored Pyracan fruit with little to no popularity on-planet in the island's fertile valley.
- 2468 CE - Praell begins selling piorra wine offplanet, and slowly gains a following.
- ~2500 CE - Praell's daughter, also calling herself Praell, takes over the wine business under mysterious circumstances.
- 2626 CE - Pyracan authorities seize the island after a reporter goes undercover to report on atrocities occuring on the island, including multi-generational slavery.
- 2627 CE - Praell VI is sentenced to death after a lengthy trial after being convicted of slavery, kidnapping, and thousands of counts of assault.
- 2639 CE - The Grand Council turns Eiru into a museum/educational facility about piorra, and students are brought in from all over the planet.
- 2652 CE - Due to low interest or profitability, the Grand Council auctions Eiru off again, and Seaside Vistas, a development firm, is the high bidder.
- May 13, 2653 CE - The Grand Council revokes Seaside Vistas' permits, ostensibly for non-payment, and breaks ground on a community for Outverser refugees.
- May 27, 2653 CE - Nall fighters shoot down the Hekayti vessel Elder Sight over Eiru, provoking war between the Multiverse Commonwealth and the Zarist Supremacy.
- June 3, 2653 CE - Pyracan Engineering Corps finishes Eiru Landing Pad.
- June 5, 2653 CE - 2700 Riftwalkers emigrate from Aureus refugee camp to Eiru, 1500 end up staying.
